Thanks to the support of our readers on Patreon, long ago we reached our final Patreon goal: a revised version of our Secret History of Gainax article reformatted as a mini-fanzine. However, that was the article I used to launch Zimmerit in September 2015, so it was old and showing its age. Using it as the basis of a booklet inevitably meant throwing most of it out, editing some more recent Zimmerit articles to include, and writing new text. The good news is that it’s finally (mostly) complete and we’re aiming for a release next month to mark the 8th anniversary of Zimmerit.
Digital and print copies will be distributed to Patreon supporters next month. $2 Tier patrons get a PDF, while $5 Tier patrons get a printed version and a PDF. The cut-off date to sign up for Patreon to get it at these tiers is August 31, 2023. If you’re interested, you can support us on Patreon.
In the future, we’re planning on making it available in some form to new Patreon supporters and for sale outside of Patreon, but for the time being, we’ll be focusing on those who are supporters as of next month.
